The Multidisciplinary Forum Gastroesophageal Reflux (GERD) was held in Beijing

    On November 10-12, the 2017 Annual Meeting of the Multidisciplinary Branch of Gastroesophageal Reflux of the Chinese Association for the Promotion of International Medical and Health Care was held in Hanhua International Hotel, Beijing. The theme of the conference is "New Concept, New Perspective and New Model". It is hoped that in the "New Era", through multidisciplinary efforts in the field of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Cooperate to improve the level of GERD diagnosis and treatment in China and provide more accurate and higher quality medical services for patients.

    At the digestive sub-forum on the afternoon of the 11th meeting, Director Yang Min, Department of Gastroenterology, Chongqing Daping Hospital, made a special report on the value of pepsin detection in the diagnosis of gastroesophageal reflux-related diseases and the evaluation of its therapeutic effect.

    Director Yang Min gave a very high appraisal on the application prospect of salivary pepsin in the field of reflux-related diseases based on the clinical research results of peptest in her hospital and the conclusions of related overseas literature. She concluded that the positive rate of pepsin test was high in all patients with reflux-related diseases, and the non-invasive rate of GERD was high. Involvement targeting is of great clinical value and is recommended as the best diagnostic method for laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR).

In the forum of laryngopharyngeal reflux, Director Wang Qiuping from Otolaryngology Department, General Hospital of Nanjing Military Region made a special report on the progress of pathogenesis of laryngopharyngeal airway reflux.

    Director Wang Qiuping also pointed out in the report that some diseases of the throat and airway are closely related to reflux because of the lack of pepsinase defense mechanism in the throat and airway, especially in the reflux. He also pointed out that peptest is of great clinical value in the screening of reflux events.

    During the conference, experts and professors from all over the country visited the exhibition booth of Mei'an Medicine and asked in detail about the use and registration progress of peptest. They had high expectations for the listing of peptest in China.
